Dedicated on November 11, 1930, Memorial Stadium became Great Fall’s new found pride and joy. Built on the sole purpose for honoring veterans of war, Memorial Stadium stood as a reemergence of those members and former members of Great Falls High School who participated in the World War. "The stadium was there to honor the brave men who went to war and never returned home. In my senior year many young men were drafted into the war and very few returned home to their love ones." , Mrs. Duffy (English Teacher) Over the years Memorial Stadium has become the battle ground for the hometown showdown between the town’s rival high schools. The Great Falls High Bison and Charles M. Russell High Rustlers meet every year to prove who is the best high school in town for all sports; the biggest by far would be Cross-town Football.
